Born from a question we couldn’t ignore
From thousands of conversations with filmmakers, we began to understand what sustains a meaningful creative life.
Nourish was founded by Jon Bregel, a director, cinematographer, and coach with over 20 years in the industry. He co-founded the NYC-based production company Variable, which sky-rocketed to prominence through work with brands like Nike, National Geographic, and ESPN.
After years of building his career with little regard for his wellbeing, Jon reached a breaking point and stepped away from a way of working that had ultimately worn him down, in search of something more sustainable and creatively fulfilling.
In the conversations that followed with collaborators, peers, and eventually coaching clients, one question kept returning:
How do you build a film career that doesn’t cost you everything else?
That question became the foundation for everything that followed.
Today, Nourish offers one-on-one coaching, group coaching, an expanding private community, and live gatherings for filmmakers at various stages of their careers.
While the paths may look different, they all begin from the same place:
A sustainable career starts with listening to yourself, knowing what matters, and building something real, lasting, and kind.
