Drawing from his experience as a cinematographer across narrative, commercial, and documentary filmmaking, he helps filmmakers build confidence in communication, leadership, and handling the politics that come with high-level work. His approach is grounded in the belief that talent is often the baseline — what separates people is how they show up.
Jared has spent years observing what actually determines who gets rehired.
Across productions of all sizes, he’s seen that talent alone isn’t what sets people apart. At a certain level, everyone is capable. What really matters is how you handle yourself as a person.
Filmmaking is deeply interpersonal work — communication, conflict, collaboration, and leadership. Many filmmakers struggle not because they lack ability, but because they haven’t learned how to navigate the human dynamics of the job.

Some clients move into a focused 3-month engagement centered around quarterly goals - building momentum, clarity, and consistency.
Others choose a longer-term coaching relationship (6-12 months), supporting deeper transitions in their creative work, career direction, and personal life.

Jared Levy is a cinematographer whose work spans narrative, commercial, and documentary filmmaking. His projects have screened at major festivals including Cannes, SXSW, Tribeca, Telluride, and Camerimage, and he currently has two feature films streaming on Hulu. His work has been featured in American Cinematographer and recognized with a Silver Clio Award and multiple Telly Awards.
Through years of experience navigating complex productions and collaborations, Jared developed a deep appreciation for the interpersonal side of filmmaking. His coaching helps filmmakers build confidence in leadership, communication, and navigating the human dynamics of the industry.
